Dean McEvoy is a successful startup founder and angel investor. He has founded three startups, the most well known being Spreets.com - Australia’s first group buying site. Spreets was launched in February 2010 and sold only 11 months later to Yahoo!7 for around $40 million.

Dean has advised and invested in over 96 startups , he is a founding mentor and investor at Startmate. Australia’s most successful accelerator and is a limited partner at Blackbird Ventures whose portfolio include unicorns such as Canva and Zoox.

Dean is passionate about creating an entrepreneurship ecosystem and helping others to grow their high growth technology business by sharing lessons learnt on his journey, he also co founded TechSydney which is a not for profit member group setup to help make Sydney one of the best places to start and grow a technology business. He was instrumental in the establishment of the Sydney Startup Hub and the recently announced Technology Precinct to be built down at Central Station.
